Italo Calvino’s Le città invisibili [Invisible Cities], first published in 1972 and translated in 1978, explores the fine line between reality and the imaginary aspects of cities within literature.
Invisible modelling is the 3 week product which examined, explored and depicted one narrative contained within Invisible Cities through modular exploration in models.
Interpretation of a specific city narrative is three dimensionally explored through tectonics, structure, form, order, pattern and urban thresholds to roughly the size of 15 cm x 15 cm x 30 cm in gypsum.
This exhibition runs until the 4th of March at Gallery B, podium level of the School of Design Innovation Tower
